Hi! I'm Ally - the heart behind Cozy on Cedar! We moved into our home in 2021, got engaged in our living room, brought our twin boys home here… and yet for months, I spent way too much time scrolling on Zillow and looking for our "dream house.” One day, it hit me - if I spend my time wishing for something else, I'll miss out on the blessings I already have!
So, I broke up with Zillow and decided I was done looking for my dream house. Instead, I'd create one - right here in our little home that we already have (+ one that truly deserves it)! Around here, you'll find lots of seasonal decor, approachable DIYs, and hopefully a little reminder that you can create a home you love no matter where you are in your journey!

I'm a HUGEEE morning person! Those first couple of hours are my absolute favorite - the house is (usually) quiet, I feel fresh and excited for what the day will bring, and for a little while, everything moves slower. The sound of my coffee brewing is one of my favorite things ever and if I could live in any moment on repeat, it would be my mornings!

In case it’s not obvious by now, I really love the seasons! Each one has its own little joys, and I get so much happiness out of decorating for them. Of course, I have my favorites (fall + Christmas!!), but I’m learning to slow down and embrace each season as it comes. Time seems to fly by faster every year, so being present and soaking it all in feels more important than ever!
