This is where I share all the little things that make our house feel like home - from DIY home decor projects and seasonal decorating ideas to cozy routines and everyday inspiration. My heart behind this space is to help you create a home you truly love, without needing a “dream house” to get started!
There’s something about decorating the mantel for fall that instantly makes the whole home feel warm and inviting! I haven’t ever done a garland on our mantel for fall (usually only Christmas), but I’m really liking how it turned out!! This year, I kept my fall mantel decor simple but cozy, using natural textures, soft lighting, and just the right mix of rustic and elegant touches!
For my mantel, I started by laying fall stems (from Hobby Lobby) on the top of the mantel. I added two (for extra fullness) of these pinecone garlands, these chunky acorn string lights and these mini twinkle acorn string lights to create a base full of autumn texture. The garland instantly adds that earthy, woodland feel, while the acorn lights bring a subtle glow that feels perfect for crisp fall evenings.
How many candles is too many candles?! The answer is never too many! I added a bunch of these battery operated taper candles into two different styles of taper candle holders – these antique brass taper candle holders and these gold metal taper candle holders – equally love both!! The combination of twinkle lights with the flickering candlelight creates a soft, magical effect that makes nighttime that much cozier!
